Gallery 1 shows some images from an ongoing project, Street Kids, which is taking place at Blists Hill Victorian Town at weekends and during school holidays. Children are helping to interpret the lives of their Victorian equivalents through activities such as shoe shining, school lessons and on street games.
Gallery 2 shows images from a workshop involving GCSE Art groups. The students spent the morning looking and sketching whatever took their interest at Blists Hill and then in the afternoon translated their ideas into paintings on plywood that will be varnished and mounted on hoardings on the site as an outdoor art exhibition throughout the next two months. |
