Coalbrookdale Youth Hostel
Coalbrookdale Youth Hostel occupies the former Literary and Scientific Institute and is one of the most impressive buildings in the whole of the Gorge.
It was built at the Coalbrookdale Company's expense in 1859, and the Institute provided opportunities for the local workforce to acquire useful knowledge in the arts and sciences.
A Youth Hostel since 1980, Coalbrookdale offers comfortable facilities, central heating and many en-suite rooms. It is now an excellent base for exploring Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge.

Coalport Youth Hostel
The John Rose Building at Coalport is on the site of the earliest potworks in Coalport and parts of the building date back to the early nineteenth century. A large proportion was rebuilt between 1902 and 1904, and subsequently the building was used for painting or gilding in the upper storey and pot-throwing in the lower storey. Extensive repairs and restoration work began in 1995, and the Youth Hostel offers disabled access, comfortable lounges, licensed restaurant and meeting rooms.
