Ready to wear Victorian clothing for women - from underwear to outerwear, from head to hem
The Costume Project at Ironbridge Gorge Museums has been producing bespoke costume for museums since 2004, basing our work on original patterns and sources. We are now pleased to launch Victorian Threads, our ready to wear range, for museums, volunteers and the public alike. This collection comprises nine pieces typical of a late nineteenth century woman’s outfit from the chemise to the trimmed boater. They are styled from original Victorian patterns and graded to modern sizes and are all produced to an exceptional quality.
The items can be brought individually or as a whole collection and they are suitable for display, handling and wearing. They come in a standard range of sizes and fabric choices, which change seasonally. All items come wrapped in a robust storage box complete with laundry/care instructions.
If you are interested in receiving further information on Victorian Threads please e-mail gillian.whitham@ironbridge.org.uk or phone 01952 435 902 and we will be happy to send you an information CD and order form.
