Christmas started on a tuneful note in the Engine Shop at Coalbrookdale as more than 200 people attended the Festive Charity Concert.
The successful event raised around £850 for the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust which is an educational and conservation charity.
Shropshire Male Chorus, Mezzo Soprano Helen E May, Gill Jordan and New Horizons Telford Mixed Youth Choir all performed a variety of seasonal songs for the audience who were also encouraged to join in with a number of community carols.
Readings were also performed by Steve Miller, CEO, Barrie Williams, Trust Chairman, Revd Keith Osmund-Smith, Chairman of Gorge Parish Council and Councillor Karen Blundell, Mayor of Telford and Wrekin.
Performer Helen E May said: “The whole evening was a very good way of getting people into the festive spirit. A big thank you to all those involved in the preparations and on the night.”
The next fundraising event will be a Spring Winetasting with Tanners at Coalbrookdale on 22 April.
