GOOD WEATHER AND COMPANY MAKES GOLF DAY A SUCCESS
Fourteen teams took part in the annual Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust’s Charity Golf Day on October 12, 2010 and helped to raise more than £1,000 for the Museum.
The day was held at Worfield Golf Club and after enjoying 18 holes in the autumn sunshine the teams enjoyed a delicious meal in the Clubhouse.
The winning team on the day was All Glass Systems, followed by Ian Preston’s team in second place and Solar Electronics in third place.
Trevor Williams, Chairman of the local committee for the Museum, said: “It was a really pleasant event and everybody enjoyed themselves. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who participated and helped to make the day such a success.
“There were many generous bids in the auction and several teams also sponsored prizes, tees and holes.
“Support from businesses is really important to the Museum. The money raised will go towards our charitable aims of education and conservation.”
